Mr. Pinsker

We are proud to announce that Robert Pinsker, ESUMS 6th Grade Engineering Teacher, has been selected as one of two distinguished educators to receive the Honora Kennedy Educator Award, sponsored by Invention Convention, a program of NextMinds.

This prestigious award recognizes educators who demonstrate exceptional dedication to Invention Education and who inspire students to think creatively, problem-solve boldly, and see themselves as innovators. Mr. Pinsker's work exemplifies the very spirit of this honor.

In the award announcement, the NextMinds team shared their appreciation for Mr. Pinsker's long-standing commitment to bringing invention education to students in New Haven and beyond, highlighting his ability to inspire and foster student innovation year after year. Through his engineering classes, Mr. Pinsker empowers students to design, test, and refine ideas while developing confidence, curiosity, and real-world problem-solving skills.

As part of the Honora Kennedy Educator Award, Mr. Pinsker will receive $250 in school supplies to further support ESUMS's Invention Convention programming. He has also been invited to attend the State Finals Award Ceremony on May 30 where he will be formally recognized and presented with a certificate commemorating this achievement.

This recognition is a testament not only to Mr. Pinsker's passion for teaching, but also to the innovative learning experiences he creates for ESUMS students every day. We are incredibly proud to have him as part of our school community.
